"Experience the seamless flow of natural light and the modern elegance that will transform your townhouse into a luxurious sanctuary."

SK61 is an interior design for renovation of a 5-storey townhouse located at Sukhumvit 61 for the purpose of a whole house rental business. The existing condition of the townhouse is in very good condition. But it may not be suitable for the needs of foreigners who will be the main users of this house. Too Architects therefore proposes an interior design that meets the owner's needs in terms of aesthetic, usability and compliance with the budget that will be invested in terms of the return on investment.

The 5 floors are divided into different areas as follows: The first floor consists of a parking area, a living room and reception area, a courtyard, a kitchen, and a dining area and backyard. The second to fifth floors are residential areas. Consists of 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 1 living room and 1 multipurpose room.

After going through the interior design process for renovating, the number of  bedrooms in the house has decreased, but exchanged with two large open voids  in the house that allows residents to be comfortable in the house. Whether it is a courtyard in the middle of the house with a height from the ground floor to the top floor and a void on the second floor living room. This openness also meets the needs of foreigners who don’t like cramped spaces.

Openness and comfort are the key concepts of this house's interior design. As you can see, every area of the house can receive all the natural light through large openings. Either from the front, back or courtyard in the middle of the house helps with ventilation and humidity transferring. Because the townhouse has limitations on ventilation and moisture issues in the side of the building. Having a high open space will best solve the problem of ventilation.

In the mood & tone part of the interior design work, the design team emphasized the use of bright colors and natural textured materials, such as wood and stone, to create a feeling of warmth and comfort in any space of the house. Choosing this type of color scheme also makes the interior space feel more spacious, helping to break the narrowness of the townhouse and is also suitable for relaxation in all areas of the house as the homeowner wants.
